Overview
An established free-standing cancer center is seeking a Radiation Oncologist to provide locum coverage due to physician turnover. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a Level 2 Trauma community with full support staff and state-of-the-art systems until a permanent provider is hired.

Candidate Requirements
-
Board Certified or Board Eligible in Radiation Oncology – REQUIRED
-
Michigan State License or IMLC/LOQ – REQUIRED (no exceptions)

BLS Certified – REQUIRED
-
Must be available for listed coverage dates – REQUIRED
Schedule & Coverage
-
Open Dates: Dec 8–12, Dec 15–19, and ongoing (01/01/2025 until permanent hire)

Work Timings: Mon–Fri 7:30 a.m.–4:00 p.m.

Call Schedule: 24-hour shared with one other physician (Call Ratio 1:2)

Average Outpatients per Day: 10–15

Average Inpatients per Day: 0

Patient Population: Adult & Hospital Based

Estimated Credentialing: Med staff will credential by start date; payer enrollment ~120 days

External Beam Radiation – 3D-CRT, IGRT, IMRT

Stereotactic Radiosurgery

Stereotactic Body Radiation Therapy (SBRT)

Required Duties: Order tests & images, prescribe treatments
