- A locum Radiation Oncologist is needed to provide full-time coverage in Muskegon, Michigan.
- This role involves treating adult patients in a cancer center and hospital-based setting.
- Providers will work alongside another Radiation Oncologist and an NP, delivering advanced radiation therapies with modern technology.
Job Responsibilities
• Provide coverage for adult cancer patients in both clinic and hospital settings.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurse practitioners, and other healthcare professionals.
• Perform required procedures such as IMRT, IGRT, SBRT, SRS, 3D-CRT, and fractionated stereotactic radiotherapy.
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests and imaging, and prescribe treatment plans.
• Document patient care accurately in Aria and Epic EMR systems.
Qualifications
• Active Michigan License or IMLC/LOQ – Required
• BLS Certification – Required
• Must be available for scheduled coverage dates – Required
Working Hours
• 24-hour call shared with one other physician (1:2 ratio)
• Coverage Dates: Dec 8–12, Dec 15–19, with ongoing need through permanent hire
Skills
• Strong diagnostic and treatment planning skills.
• Ability to collaborate within a multidisciplinary cancer care team.
• Proficiency with Aria and Epic EMR systems.
• Excellent patient communication and care coordination.
