Job description
- A Radiation Oncologist is needed to provide full-time locum-to-perm coverage starting as soon as credentialing is complete.
- The position offers a transition opportunity from locums to permanent placement.
- The physician will manage a full outpatient radiation oncology caseload with no call requirements.
- Providers must be Board Certified, hold an active IA license or IMLC, and be available for 4-week stretches.
Job Responsibilities
• Manage 20–25 patients per day including on-treatment visits, follow-ups, and new consults.
• Perform advanced radiation therapies including IMRT, IGRT, 3D-CRT, SBRT, stereotactic radiosurgery, photon beam therapy, and fractionated stereotactic radiotherapy.
• Collaborate with care teams to ensure effective coordination and continuity of treatment.
• Accurately document patient encounters and treatment plans in the Aria EMR system.
Qualifications
• Active IA license or IMLC – Required (or must be able to obtain quickly if covering 4 consecutive weeks)
• COVID vaccination – Required
• Must be able to start ASAP upon credentialing (temp privileges available, ~30–60 days)
• Clean background/malpractice – Required
• Must be available for 4-week stretches of full-time coverage – Required
• Aria EMR experience – Highly Preferred
• Local/within driving distance – Highly Preferred
• Willingness to transition to a permanent role – Required (attestation form must be signed)
Working Hours
• 8 hours per day
• No call requirements
• Full-time schedule (4 weeks per month)
Skills
• Strong clinical assessment and patient management skills.
• Experience with Aria EMR workflows.
• Ability to work independently as the only Radiation Oncologist on site.
• Excellent communication and patient-focused care skills.
