- A Radiation Oncologist is needed to provide full-time locum coverage starting as soon as credentialing is complete.
- The role involves managing outpatient oncology cases with no call responsibilities.
- Providers must be Board Certified and hold an active IA license or IMLC (or be eligible to obtain one if offering four consecutive weeks of coverage).
- The position requires treating adult patients with advanced radiotherapy techniques, utilizing the Aria EMR system.
Job Responsibilities
• Perform weekly treatment visits, follow-ups, and new consults for 20–25 patients per day.
• Conduct required procedures including conventional radiotherapy, 3D radiotherapy, IMRT, IGRT, 3D-CRT, SBRT, stereotactic radiosurgery, photon beam therapy, and fractionated stereotactic radiotherapy.
• Collaborate with oncology care teams to ensure continuity of patient care.
• Document all patient encounters and treatments accurately in the Aria EMR system.
Qualifications
• Active IA license or IMLC – Required (facility will review candidates needing new IA license if able to provide 4 consecutive weeks of coverage)
• COVID vaccination – Required
• Clean malpractice/background – Required
• Must be able to start ASAP upon credentialing (facility offers temp privileges, ~30–60 days)
• Must be available for 4-week stretches of full-time coverage – Required
• Aria EMR experience – Highly Preferred
• Local/within driving distance – Highly Preferred
Working Hours
• 8 hours per day
• No call requirements
• Full-time schedule (4 weeks per month)
Skills
• Strong clinical decision-making and patient management skills.
• Proficiency with Aria EMR for oncology workflows.
• Ability to work independently (only 1 physician on site).
• Excellent communication and patient-centered care approach.
