Job description
Local Preferred Locum Radiation Oncologist - Williamsport, PA - $375/hr

We are seeking a Board Certified (BC) Radiation Oncologist for a full-time, ongoing opportunity starting November 1, 2025. This is a great role for a physician who can handle a mix of clinical care and on-call responsibilities.

In order to submit, you MUST indicate that the provider can take call in addition to regular day shifts and is available full-time on an ongoing basis for a year.

Opportunity Highlights

  • Specialty: Radiation Oncology
  • Start Date: November 1, 2025
  • Schedule: 5 days a week in the outpatient office. Shifts are typically 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM, or 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM. Call is every other week and runs simultaneously with your outpatient coverage.
Patient Care:
  • You can expect to see 2 new consults, 1 re-evaluation, and 2 follow-up patients per day.
  • On Tuesdays, you will see all on-treatment patients.
  • You will perform simulations, with typically 2-3 scheduled per day, Monday through Friday.
  • Daily review of images is also required.
  • On-Call Responsibilities: On-call physicians handle patient calls (which are rare) and consults for inpatients needing radiation. The inpatient hospital is 2.2 miles from the radiation oncology department.
  • EMR Systems: You will use Aria RO, Epic/IP, and Powerchart.

Required Procedures:

You will be performing a variety of procedures, including:

  • 2D & 3D radiation therapy
  • IMRT, IGRT, DIBH, SBRT, SRS
  • Brachytherapy for cylinders (locums typically won't be on the materials license for this)

Requirements

  • Minimum Board Certification: Board Certified (BC) in Radiation Oncology.
  • Licensure: We highly prefer providers with an active PA license but will also consider IMLC in hand or candidates who need a license.
  • DEA: A DEA is required.
  • Location: We highly prefer local and/or drive-in candidates and will only cover one flight per month.

If you are a Board Certified Radiation Oncologist with an active PA license and are available for this full-time role, we encourage you to apply.
