Client in Iowa is looking for Locum Coverage for a Radiation Oncologist
Job Responsibilities
• Number of Physicians in Practice: 1
• Will There be Other Radiation Oncologists Present During Locum Tenens Coverage? No
• Average Number of Patients Per Day - OUTPATIENT (Clinic/Office): 20-25 on treatment with weekly treatment visits, follow-ups and consults
• Average Number of Patients Per Day - INPATIENT (Call/Rounding): 0-1
• Trauma Level 2
• Adult patients
• EMR: Aria
• Credentialing timeframe: Facility can offer temp privs which is approx. 30-60 days
Required procedures:
• Conventional Radiotherapy
• 3D Radiotherapy
• External Beam Radiation - IMRT
• External Beam Radiation - IGRT
• External Beam Radiation - 3D-CRT
• Stereotactic Body Radiation Therapy (SBRT)
• Stereotactic Radiosurgery
• Photon Beam Radiation Therapy
• Fractionated Stereotactic Radiotherapy
Qualifications
• Active IA license or Active IMLC - REQUIRED for candidates offering 2 on/2 off (Client will review candidates requiring a new IA license IF they can offer 4 consecutive weeks of coverage)
• 100% Clean Background and Malpractice/License - REQUIRED
• COVID Vaccine - REQUIRED
• Must be able to start ASAC upon credentialing - REQUIRED (Facility can offer temp privs which is approx. 30-60 days)
• MUST be available to offer coverage for 4 week stretches at a time - REQUIRED (notate at time of name clear)
• Aria documentation - HIGHLY PREFFERED. Note experience at time of name clear.
• Local/within driving distance - HIGHLY PREFERRED
Working Hours
• Schedule: 8 AM to 4:30 PM with 30 minutes for lunch - 8 hours per day
• No call
• Schedule Requirements: Facility is looking for coverage 2 weeks on per candidate - minimum. Provider must be available to work 2 week stretches at a time. Ideally, one agency will have TWO providers who can work 2 on/2 off in conjunction for seamless handoffs
