Job description
We are seeking a Board-Certified Radiation Oncologist (MD/DO) to provide outpatient coverage at a well-supported cancer care center in central Massachusetts. This is a 6-month contract position with the option to extend based on mutual agreement. The role is 100% outpatient with no call responsibilities, allowing for excellent work-life balance.
Job Responsibilities
- Manage a daily caseload of 15–20 patients on treatment
- Conduct approximately 5 new patient consultations weekly
- Perform SBRT, IMRT, and 3D radiation treatments
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary care team
- Participate in virtual interviews (Webex/Teams) as part of the hiring process
Qualifications
- Board Certified in Radiation Oncology (ABR) (Preferred)
- Active Massachusetts medical license (required prior to start)
- Current DEA registration (DCS is able to assist with this if needed)
- Eligibility for hospital credentialing (credentialing process takes ~90 days)
- Previous experience in a community-based outpatient oncology setting preferred
