Position Type: Locum Physician – Radiation Oncology
Overview
This locum opportunity provides outpatient-focused Radiation Oncology coverage, including conventional and advanced therapies such as IMRT, IGRT, SBRT, and Stereotactic Radiosurgery. You will treat adult patients in a Trauma Level 2 facility with a collaborative team.
Practice Highlights
• Clinic Hours: 8 AM – 4:30 PM, Monday–Friday (30-min lunch)
• No call required
• Average Outpatient Volume: 20–25 patients/day (treatments, follow-ups, consults)
• Average Inpatient Volume: 0–1 patient/day
• EMR: Aria
• Minimum 2-week coverage stretches, ideally 2 on / 2 off schedule with another provider
• Required Procedures: Conventional Radiotherapy, 3D Radiotherapy, IMRT, IGRT, 3D-CRT, SBRT, Stereotactic Radiosurgery, Photon Beam, Fractionated Stereotactic Radiotherapy
Candidate Requirements
• Board Certified – REQUIRED
• Active IA License or Active IMLC – REQUIRED
• COVID Vaccine – REQUIRED
• Must be able to start ASAP upon credentialing (temporary privileges available in 30–60 days)
• Clean Background/Malpractice – REQUIRED
• EMR experience (Aria) – HIGHLY PREFERRED
• Local/within driving distance – HIGHLY PREFERRED
Schedule & Coverage
• 8-hour shifts: 8 AM – 4:30 PM
• Coverage required for minimum 2-week stretches, ideally 2 providers alternating for continuity
• No weekend or on-call responsibilities
