The nationally accredited cancer care program at a leading Cancer Care Institute in Davenport, IA is seeking a Board Eligible/Board Certified Medical Physicist. This role offers an opportunity to provide team-based collaborative care and innovative treatment in a supportive clinic setting.

Job Responsibilities:

• Provide safe therapeutic radiological physics to the Radiation Oncology Department.
• Ensure equipment safety and quality patient care in compliance with regulatory agencies and medical community standards.
• Participate in teaching and training within the department.
• Conduct patient-specific QA, chart QA, linear accelerator QA, and plan checks.
• Participate in treatment procedures alongside Radiation Oncologists, Dosimetrists, and therapists.
• Work closely with the Chief of Physics on calibration and commissioning of linear accelerators.
• Implement new technologies and maintain a high standard of quality assurance.
• Collaborate within a multidisciplinary team to enhance patient care.

Qualifications:

• MS or PhD in Radiology/Radiological Sciences.
• Board Certified/Board Eligible in Therapeutic Medical Physics.
• US Board Eligible or Board Certified by American Board of Radiology (ABR) or American Board of Medical Physics (ABMP).
• Registered or willing to become registered in Iowa as a Radiation Therapy Physicist.
• Clean malpractice history.

License and Certification Requirements:

• MS or PhD in Radiology/Radiological Sciences - Required
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Therapeutic Medical Physics - Required
• Must be US Board Eligible or Board Certified - Required
• Iowa Radiation Therapy Physicist registration - Required
• IA license (or willingness to obtain) - Required
