Ansible Government Solutions, LLC (Ansible) is currently recruiting for a Physician - Hematologist/Oncologist to support the Fort Wayne VA Medical Center located at 2121 Lake Ave, Fort Wayne, IN 46805. This full-time position provides coverage Monday-Friday, 8:00am-4:30pm, with 24/7 on-call services on an as-needed basis. Exceptional compensation packages with full benefits are available.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for managing Hematology/Oncology care in both outpatient and inpatient settings
• Evaluates, diagnoses, consults, and orders appropriate diagnostic studies and treatments for hematology/oncology patients and provide emergency hematology/oncology services as agreed or designated
• Provides consultative evaluations and treatments to patients referred from other sections of the hospital and/or affiliated VA Outpatient clinics, and performs administrative functions and other tasks as assigned by the Associate Chief of Staff of Acute Medical Service to meet the needs of the medical center
• Provides oversight and direction for advanced practice nurses assigned to hematology/oncology service and acts as a collaborating physician if requested for same

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Medical Oncology/Hematology through the American Board of Internal Medicine
• Active and unrestricted medical licensure in any U.S. state or other jurisdiction
• American Heart Association BLS certification
• American Heart Association ACLS certification
• Able to pass a background check
