Locums – Stuart, Florida | Medical Oncology Opportunity

Clinical Role RecruitWell is seeking a Board Certified Medical Oncologist for a locums opportunity in Stuart, Florida. This is primarily an outpatient position providing general Medical Oncology care, with a significant portion of the patient population expected to consist of breast oncology patients. The physician will join an established multidisciplinary team with strong physician, APP, nursing, and ancillary support.

Assignment Details

• Coverage: November 30, 2026 – March 31, 2027

• Option to extend

• Monday–Friday: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

• Outpatient setting

• Limited call, approximately 1:6 at most

• Coverage needed due to physician departure and resulting practice coverage needs

Position Highlights

• General Medical Oncology opportunity

• Majority of patient volume expected to be breast oncology

• Outpatient weekday schedule

• Light call responsibilities

• Up to 3 new patients per day

• Up to 8 established patients per day

• Physician only needs to be on site during chemotherapy administration

• No tumor board responsibilities

• Established physician and APP support

Clinical Details & Responsibilities

• Evaluate and manage outpatient Medical Oncology patients

• See both new and established patients

• Complete clinical documentation and routine outpatient responsibilities

• Manage chemotherapy and immunotherapy patients

• Provide limited call coverage as scheduled

• No tumor board or similar meeting requirements

Procedures & Skills

• Chemotherapy management

• Immunotherapy management

• General Medical Oncology

• Breast oncology experience beneficial due to anticipated patient mix

Support & Technology

• 5 physicians on site

• 6 APPs

• Nursing support

• Dietician support

• Patient navigator support

• Clerical and additional clinical support staff

• EMR: Aria

• Beacon module utilized

Requirements

• Board Certified in Oncology required

• Active Florida medical license or IMLC pathway accepted

• Must meet applicable vaccination requirements

Organization & Team

• Outpatient Medical Oncology practice

• Five physicians currently on site

• Three physicians are recent fellowship graduates

• Six APPs provide additional clinical support

• Multidisciplinary team includes nursing, dietician, navigator, and clerical staff
