Job Opportunity: Locum Physician in Oncology
Join a dynamic team at a free-standing cancer center in the heart of Greenville, South Carolina. This facility is dedicated to providing comprehensive care in medical oncology, focusing on both benign hematology and malignant oncology. Key Responsibilities:
- Provide medical care in oncology for adult and geriatric patients.
- Participate in Tumor Board and manage bone marrow transplants.
- Order tests and imaging, and prescribe treatment plans.
- Administer chemotherapy with the support of nurse oncologists.
- Perform inpatient rounding as required; average 20 patients per day in a hospital setting.
- Average outpatient appointment load of 25 patients per day.
- Collaborate with a team of 7 physicians and 6 advanced practice providers.
- Ensure documentation of patient care using the EPIC EMR system.
Qualifications:
- Board Certified in Hematology & Oncology.
- Active South Carolina medical license.
- Current BLS and DEA certifications.
- Availability of 2-4 weeks per month for coverage.
- Clean background check required for emergency temporary positions.
- Previous experience at this facility must be disclosed if applicable.
License and Certification Requirements:
- Board Certification in Hematology & Oncology - Required
- Active SC Medical License - Required
- BLS and DEA Certification - Required
