Job description
We are seeking a Locums General Medical Oncologist with a strong focus in GI Oncology to provide outpatient coverage in Massachusetts. This is an excellent long-term locums opportunity with an anticipated 1-year assignment and the possibility of extension.
The ideal candidate will be able to provide coverage across two outpatient oncology locations in Fitchburg and Worcester, Massachusetts. Local candidates are preferred, but travel candidates may be considered if they can provide consistent coverage.
Compensation: $450 Per Hour
Position Highlights
- Start: ASAP
- Assignment: 1 year with potential to extend
- Setting: Outpatient Oncology
- Schedule: 40 hours per week / 1.0 FTE
- 4 days per week
- 8 clinic sessions, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM
- Approximately 10–16 clinic patients per day
- Primarily GI Oncology
- APP and RN navigator support
- Clinic director and manager on site
- EMR: Epic
- Bone marrow biopsy experience preferred
- Local candidates preferred; travel candidates considered for consistent coverage
Requirements
- MD or DO
- Fellowship training in Hematology/Oncology required
- General Medical Oncology experience, with a strong preference for GI Oncology
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Hematology/Oncology
- Active Massachusetts medical license required
- DEA and CSR required
- Bone marrow biopsy experience preferred
