Join our dedicated team as an Oncology Physician in a hospital setting, specializing in outpatient chemotherapy and infusion services. As a solo provider, you will be supported by a midlevel provider and collaborate closely with ER physicians and hospitalists for any necessary admissions. This opportunity offers an enriching environment focused on hematology and oncology care, requiring hospital consults with a manageable call schedule.

Job Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and treat all aspects of hematology and oncology, including symptom management and precision medicine.
  • Provide oversight for both the oncology/hematology clinic and infusion services.
  • Ensure your presence at the Infusion Center for all treatments, including chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and various therapeutic procedures.

Qualifications

  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Hematology and Oncology.
  • Must hold a valid CA medical license.
  • DEA certification required.
  • Fellowship in relevant field [REQUIRED].
  • ACLS certification required if requesting moderate sedation privileges.
  • Self-Query NPDB report required within 30 days of presentation date.

Working Hours

  • Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM, with call duties.

Skills

  • Proficient in the use of EMRs, specifically iKnowmed (Clinic) and Cerner (Infusion).
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with support staff and other healthcare professionals.
  • Ability to manage a busy caseload with 15–20 patient admissions per day.
