Locum - Physician - Oncology
Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated Medical Hematologist/Oncologist to join our Outpatient Chemotherapy and Infusion Center in Redding, CA. This facility offers a supportive environment with a midlevel provider assisting with patient flow. As a solo provider, you will have the opportunity to deliver high-quality care while collaborating with ER physicians and hospitalists for any admissions.
Job Responsibilities:
- Conduct all aspects of Diagnosis, Staging, Precision Medicine, and Treatment of Hematology/Oncology Patients.
- Provide MD oversight for the Oncology/Hematology clinic and Infusion Services.
- Ensure the Infusion Center is staffed and managed efficiently, providing Chemotherapy, Immunotherapy, Blood/Platelet transfusions, Hormone therapy, and more.
- Collaborate with the support staff, including nurses and medical assistants, to ensure excellent patient care.
- Participate in hospital consults and provide on-call support as needed.
Qualifications:
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Oncology or Hematology [REQUIRED]
- California Medical License [REQUIRED]
- Completion of a Fellowship in Hematology/Oncology [REQUIRED]
- Current DEA registration and ACLS certification [REQUIRED for Moderate Sedation Privileges]
- Self-Query NPDB report dated within 30 days of presentation [REQUIRED]
License and Certification Requirements:
- California Medical License
- ABMS Board Certification or eligibility in Oncology or Hematology
- DEA Registration
- ACLS Certification (PALS for Pediatric Patients if applicable)
