Coverage Details
-- Dual facility assignment
Shift Description
-- Clinic hours: 8am–4pm
-- Call schedule: TBD
-- Weekend requirement: As needed
-- On-call: Yes; schedule TBD
Requirements
-- Board certified or truly board eligible in hematology & oncology
-- Active Iowa license or active IMLC
-- Fellowship trained in hematology & oncology
-- Must be experienced
-- Provider must be willing to work at both locations
-- Clean malpractice/background
Required Procedures/Skills
-- Patient assessments
-- New treatment plans
-- Ongoing treatment plans
-- Changes in therapy
-- Referral for ancillary services
-- End-of-life care
-- Chemotherapy management
-- Pain management
Assignment Details
-- Patient contact hours: 6
-- Patient population: Medicare / Medicaid / Commercial
-- Clinic days: 8
-- Outreach: ~6 days/month
-- Telehealth: Yes
-- Medical hematology/oncology coverage 4–5 days/week
-- Number of physicians: 1
-- Nursing support: 1:1
-- Medical imaging + lab & pharmacy available
-- Clinic provider daily volume: 10–30
-- Average daily hospital census: 10–15
-- Appointment length: 40 min consults; 20 min follow-ups
-- EMR: EPIC
