We are seeking a Board-Certified Medical Oncologist (Hematology/Oncology Physician) for a locum assignment in Greenville, South Carolina. This opportunity is based in a high-volume cancer center providing comprehensive oncology care across both outpatient and inpatient settings.

The role focuses primarily on benign hematology and malignant oncology, supported by an experienced multidisciplinary team including advanced practice providers and oncology nursing staff. This position is ideal for oncologists seeking a structured weekday schedule, modern EMR support, and a well-established oncology program.

Job Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive medical oncology and hematology care
• Manage adult and geriatric oncology patients
• Deliver outpatient oncology consultations and follow-ups
• Provide inpatient oncology rounding as required
• Participate in multidisciplinary tumor board discussions
• Manage benign hematology and malignant oncology cases
• Oversee and coordinate chemotherapy treatment plans
• Collaborate with oncology nursing staff for chemotherapy administration
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests and imaging
• Prescribe oncology-related medications and therapies
• Participate in bone marrow transplant management and blood bank coordination
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation using the EMR system

Qualifications

• Board Certified in Hematology and Medical Oncology
• Active South Carolina medical license
• Active DEA certification
• BLS certification
• Clean malpractice and professional background
• Recent NPDB self-query report
• Strong clinical expertise in both outpatient and inpatient oncology care

Working Hours

• Monday–Friday schedule
• Day shifts
• Typical hours: 8:30 AM – 4:30 PM
• No call required during locum assignment
• Call participation expected only if transitioning to a permanent role
