Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Practice Setting: Outpatient Cancer Center

Patient Population: Adult and geriatric

Trauma Level: II

Call Schedule:

If part of call pool: Monday–Sunday

Weekday evenings: Telephone call

Weekends: Rounding with APP support

Call Ratio: 1 in 5
Practice Composition & Focus-
Practice Mix: ~60% Hematology / 40% Oncology
-
Primary Focus: Thoracic Lung Cancer patients
-
Secondary Focus: General/benign hematology from patients not assigned to other physician specialties
-
Current Physician Specialties: Breast, Lung (different location), GI, GU, Neuro
-
Physicians: 6
-
APP Coverage:
-
Inpatient team: 5 APPs
-
Outpatient team: 5 APPs at this location
-
Outpatient Clinic:
-
8–16 patients per day
-
Schedule template allows 7–8 hours of patient appointment time
-

Hospital (Call/Rounding):
-
Average census of 22 patients across 2 hospitals
-
Includes 4–5 new patients
Clinical Scope-
Oncology – Outpatient setting

Participation on Tumor Board

Orders tests and imaging

Prescribing responsibilities

Required Procedures:

FNA

Biopsy

Chemotherapy Administration: Nurse Oncologist
Technology-
EMR: Epic

Estimated Timeframe: 90 days

Board Certified or truly Board Eligible in Medical Oncology – Required

Active Michigan license – Highly Preferred

Will review providers needing to obtain MI license
