We are seeking a Locum Medical Oncologist to join a busy outpatient cancer center in Grand Rapids, MI. This is a rewarding opportunity to care for adult and geriatric patients, with a primary focus on lung cancer, supported by a strong multidisciplinary team and APP coverage.
We are seeking a Locum Medical Oncologist to join a busy outpatient cancer center in Grand Rapids, MI. This is a rewarding opportunity to care for adult and geriatric patients, with a primary focus on lung cancer, supported by a strong multidisciplinary team and APP coverage.
Job Responsibilities
🩺 Provide outpatient oncology care (heme/onc mix)
🩺 Focus on lung cancer; manage general/benign hematology cases
🩺 Participate in Tumor Board meetings
🩺 Order labs, imaging, and diagnostic tests
🩺 Prescribe treatments and oversee chemotherapy administration
🩺 Perform FNA/biopsy procedures
🩺 Provide call coverage and inpatient rounding as scheduled
Qualifications
✅ Board Certified or Board Eligible in Medical Oncology
✅ Active Michigan license (or willingness to obtain)
✅ BLS certification
✅ Experience with adult & geriatric oncology patients
Working Hours
⏰ Monday–Friday | 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
📞 On-call required (1:5 call rotation; APP support provided)
📅 Coverage needed ASAP
