Required Skills:
- Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution
- Board certification or eligibility in Hematology/Oncology
- Valid medical license to practice in South Carolina or ability to obtain one promptly
- Proficiency with EMR systems, specifically EPIC
- Experience managing outpatient and inpatient oncology cases
- Ability to participate in tumor board discussions and multidisciplinary care teams
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Commitment to high standards of patient care and safety
Nice to Have Skills:
- Experience with bone marrow transplants and blood bank management
- Familiarity with chemotherapy administration protocols
- Prior locum or temporary coverage experience
- Knowledge of complex oncology treatments and emerging therapies
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Medical degree (MD or DO)
- At least 3 years of clinical experience in oncology
- Prior experience working with adult and geriatric populations
- Participation in tumor boards and multidisciplinary oncology care
Other Requirements:
- Credentialing estimated to take approximately 60 days
- Ability to work days, Monday through Friday, 8:30 am–4:30 pm
- No on-call duties during the locum period; call responsibilities are aligned with permanent placement
- Flexibility to travel, with facility reimbursement for flight, hotel, rental car, and mileage at IRS standard rates
