An excellent locum-to-perm opportunity for a Medical Oncologist in Greenville, SC. This role is based in a free-standing cancer center with a strong multidisciplinary team, no call during the locum period, and a clear pathway to a permanent position.
An excellent locum-to-perm opportunity for a Medical Oncologist in Greenville, SC. This role is based in a free-standing cancer center with a strong multidisciplinary team, no call during the locum period, and a clear pathway to a permanent position.
Job Responsibilities
• Outpatient oncology and hematology care
• Inpatient rounding as needed
• Participation in tumor boards
• Management of bone marrow transplant patients
• Blood bank oversight
• Order and interpret labs and imaging
• Prescribe treatment plans (chemo administered by nursing staff)
Qualifications
• Board Certified in Hematology & Oncology
• Active SC license or willingness to obtain
• BLS & DEA required
• Clean background (required for temp privileges)
• Current NPDB
Working Hours
• Monday–Friday | 8:30 AM – 4:30 PM
• No call during locum period
• Call required if converted to perm (1 week every 6–8 weeks)
Skills
• Medical oncology & benign hematology expertise
• Multidisciplinary collaboration
• Tumor board participation
• EMR proficiency (EPIC)
• Strong clinical decision-making
