Job description
We are seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Radiation Oncology Physician to provide locum coverage at a Free-Standing Cancer Center in Muskegon, Michigan. This role focuses primarily on outpatient care with shared on-call responsibilities, treating adult patients with a variety of oncologic conditions.
Schedule & Coverage
- Clinic Hours: Monday – Friday, 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM
- Call: 24-hour coverage, shared with one other physician (call ratio 1:2)
- Patient Volume:
- Outpatient: 10–15 patients per day
- Inpatient: Minimal / as needed during call
- Setting: Adult outpatient & hospital-based care
- Trauma Level (if hospital-based): Level II
Clinical Responsibilities
- Conduct consultations and follow-ups for adult oncology patients
- Provide on-treatment management and daily clinical operations
- Perform minor procedures as required
- Prescribe treatments, order diagnostic tests, and imaging studies
- Utilize documentation systems (Aria & Epic) for patient care
Required Procedural Competencies
- Conventional Radiotherapy
- 3D Radiotherapy
- External Beam Radiation: 3D-CRT, IGRT, IMRT
- Stereotactic Radiosurgery & Stereotactic Body Radiation Therapy (SBRT)
- Fractionated Stereotactic Radiotherapy
Qualifications
- MD or DO with Board Certification or Board Eligibility in Radiation Oncology
- Active Michigan license or eligible via IMLC/LOQ
- BLS certification
