Responsibilities:
• Provide expert consultation and treatment in inpatient and outpatient oncology settings.
• Evaluate, triage, and prioritize consults referred from primary care and other services.
• Obtain comprehensive medical histories and conduct thorough physical examinations.
• Order, review, and interpret appropriate laboratory and diagnostic tests.
• Develop, plan, and prescribe individualized treatment plans for oncology patients.
• Coordinate medical management and care with primary care providers and multidisciplinary teams.
• Perform administrative duties including peer review and ongoing professional practice evaluations.
• Provide on-call oncology services, ensuring availability for consultations and timely on-site response during off-hours.
• Adhere to clinic scheduling and ensure timely patient evaluations in compliance with established wait time standards.
• Participate in clinical follow-up, tumor board discussions, and other assigned clinical activities.
• Follow all medication policies and procedures, ensuring proper patient education and discharge instructions.
• Maintain documentation and communication related to patient care and treatment plans.
Requirements:
• Current, unrestricted U.S. medical license.
• Board Certified in Medical Oncology by the American Board of Internal Medicine.
• Current BLS and ACLS certification.
• Fluent in English; excellent communication skills.
• Experience in both inpatient and outpatient oncology care.
