Job Opportunity: Physician - Oncology in Coos Bay, OR

Join our esteemed team in the serene community of Coos Bay, Oregon, where exceptional work-life balance meets coastal charm. We are seeking two full-time or part-time Medical Oncologists and/or Hematologists to join our renowned cancer center, serving as the primary hub for top-tier cancer care across the southern coast of Oregon. The facility is equipped with a state-of-the-art infusion room, onsite pharmacy, and a supportive nurse team, providing the perfect environment for delivering exceptional patient care.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Accept part-time (48 hours per pay period) and full-time (80 hours per pay period) candidates.
  • Provide medical oncology and hematology services in an outpatient clinic setting.
  • Manage an average of 10-15 patients per day at a free-standing cancer center.
  • Engage in collaboration with the infusion team and radiation oncology services.
  • Participate in leading-edge clinical trials and ongoing education opportunities.
  • Provide on-call support (1:4 call schedule, primarily critical lab calls).
  • Embrace a work-life balance with an emphasis on community engagement and family-friendly living.

Qualifications:

  • BE (within 2 years) or BC in Medical Oncology and/or Hematology.
  • Experience in Radiation Oncology is preferred, or recent graduates are encouraged to apply.
  • Clean malpractice history/background.
  • Must demonstrate ties to Oregon, either through family or prior residency.

License and Certification Requirements:

  • Oregon medical license (or willingness to obtain).
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Medical Oncology and/or Hematology.
  • BLS certification (or willingness to obtain).
  • DEA registration (must be obtained prior to start).
  • Submission of NPDB Self Query report prior to onboarding.
