We are seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Medical Oncologist to provide locum tenens coverage at a well-established facility in Beaufort, South Carolina. This is an urgent need beginning in September 2025, with ongoing coverage required until a permanent physician is hired.
The physician will work 3–4 days per week from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM (1-hour unpaid lunch), seeing 7–15 patients per day. This is a general medical oncology position in a clinic setting, supported by one experienced APP. The APP functions independently, so no supervision is required.
There is no call, no weekends, and no trauma responsibilities, making this an excellent opportunity for providers seeking a work-life balanced schedule in a beautiful coastal town.
Job Responsibilities
Degree: MD or DO
Fellowship: Completion of a Medical Oncology fellowship required
Board Certification:
Board Certified or Board Eligible in Medical Oncology (within 5 years)
Licensure:
Active South Carolina medical license or eligibility to obtain one
Background:
Must have a clean background to qualify for temporary privileges
Experience:
Prior experience in General Medical Oncology
Other:
Physicians only (no telehealth, no advanced practice providers)
Must be able to work on-site; telehealth is not available
