Inpatient / Outpatient, Call/Weekend Shared

EMR: EPIC

Support Staff: CMA/RN assigned to work directly with locum. Schedulers/registration staff, Navigators, Social Worker, Clinical trials and research. Radiation Oncology is in the same building as Med Onc.

Patients per day:

  • 3-4 New
  • Follow-Ups: 12-14 ( depending on the number of new patients.)

Bone Marrow Biopsies (we can get around this if needed)

We have a great team and are ready to welcome the right candidate. We have 11 chemo infusion chairs, 9 exam rooms. We see patients typically starting 845am-330pm. Chemo patients arrive at 710am for labs to be drawn . Patients are admitted inpatient to the Hospitalist service and then we are consulted. We have 24 hours to see a patient once consult is placed. Our NP is able to address the daily inpatient patient issues, but when doctor is on call, must take the call from the ED for consult to determine next steps.
