Each community has unique practices, and we are happy to discuss either opportunity. Our main Benefis Sletten Cancer Institute provides a truly progressive approach to preventing and diagnosing cancer and is ACOS and NAPBC certified (since 1981) with an active multidisciplinary tumor board with a team of expert medical professionals.

Benefis Sletten Cancer Institute includes:

    • 54,000 square foot cancer treatment facility complete with an indoor healing atrium, a lazy river and soothing waterfall, massive fireplace, meditation room and a brand-new teaching kitchen.
    • Onsite, lab, pharmacy, PET CT, CT and x-ray
  • Dedicated housing facility for our patients and their caregivers to stay at no cost - some patients drive 5-7 hours to receive care at our facility due to our reputation
The Great Falls Oncology Clinic includes:
    • 4,000 square feet infusion center with 20 chemo chairs and semi-private and private infusion rooms to assure the highest patient experience possible (currently expanding to 36 chairs)
    • Onsite infusion supervising nurse, oncology certified pharmacy, clinical research and clinical trial departments, and great support staff
    • Well-attended multidisciplinary tumor board, meeting twice a week
    • Procedure rooms capable of performing bone marrow procedures
    • Main hospital can be accessed from the cancer center through an indoor tunnel connection for easy access to consults, rounding or inpatient transfers
    • Opportunity for telehealth visits, outreach and cancer events in the community
  • Friendly, appreciative patient population serving a catchment population of 275,000 in Northcentral Montana
Why we stand out
    • Stand alone, financially stable, not-for-profit health system
    • Regional tertiary center with robust specialty support including neurosurgery, pulmonology, neurology, endocrinology, rheumatology, advanced gastroenterology, cardiothoracic, and more!
  • Patient focused, quality community and regional medical care
Compensation & Benefits This opportunity is an employed position with Benefis Medical Group. We offer a nationally competitive compensation structure with guaranteed salary, productivity bonuses and incentive compensation structures! Our current physicians perform very well but still have a great schedule supporting work life balance to ensure they are refreshed and able to provide the best care. Our comprehensive benefits include 8 weeks paid vacation, 5-7% retirement plan match, $6k annual CME, relocation assistance, and malpractice, including tail coverage. We are also very well versed in J1 waiver sponsorships and happy to discuss our process for permanent residence.

Community Information: Great Falls is known as Montana’s base camp for art and adventure with a city population of 60,000, and a draw of over 275,000 people in north central Montana. We have four genuine seasons, experience mild winters and enjoy blue skies over 300 days per year. Great Falls is a wonderful and safe place to raise a family, with nationally ranked public schools, two accredited colleges, and a new not-for-profit medical school, TouroCOM Montana, opening Summer 2023. Additionally, the Missouri River, a blue-ribbon fly-fishing destination, runs through the middle of our community with over 60 miles of paved recreational trails. Our local outdoor activities include camping, hiking, horseback riding, water and snow skiing, rock and ice climbing, boating, paddle boarding, kayaking, off-road motor sports, and hunting making our quality of life unrivaled in the Rocky Mountain West. Additionally, in 2023, Montana was named #1 state in the nation to practice medicine by WalletHub and in 2020, Great Falls ranked #10 for best cities to practice in after the pandemic by Business Insider.

Benefis Health System is one of Montana’s largest tertiary centers holding a level II Trauma designation. We are proud to be a standalone, financially stable community health system with strong, dedicated leadership focused on providing the best patient care in Montana, in addition to being awarded Becker’s “Best Places To Work in Healthcare” 6 years in a row. Benefis covers ¼ of the state’s land mass, an area comparable in size to Kansas and can provide care for everything except for burns and organ transplants. We offer great specialty support including 4 neurosurgeons, a cardiothoracic and vascular program, a regional cancer institute and a brand-new emergency department with a dedicated air ambulance program, including fixed and rotor wing.

Thank you for your consideration. I look forward to being a resource to help you identify the right opportunity.
