Occupational Health Physician – Chesapeake & Newport News, VA

Position Overview
A well-established Occupational Health program in the Hampton Roads region is seeking a Board Certified/Board Eligible Occupational Health Physician to provide clinical care and physician leadership across two outpatient occupational medicine clinics. Qualifications
* MD or DO
* Eligible for Virginia Medical Licensure
* Background in:
* Occupational Medicine
* Family Medicine
* Emergency Medicine
* Urgent Care
preferred
* DOT Certification required or ability to obtain
* Certified Medical Review Officer (MRO) certification required or ability to obtain within 6 weeks of hire
* Interest in physician leadership and program development
* No visa sponsorship available (No J-1 or H-1B)

* Workers’ Compensation Care

* Respirator Clearance Examinations
* Hazmat Physicals
* Fitness-for-Duty Examinations
* Immunizations and Vaccinations:
* Influenza
* Hepatitis B
* Tetanus
* Tdap
* Acute Injury Care
* Musculoskeletal Evaluations
* Laceration Repair
* Occupational Health Compliance Assessments
Leadership Responsibilities
* Serve as Medical Review Officer (MRO)
* Provide clinical oversight and mentorship for NP/PA providers
* Support Designated Employer Representatives (DERs)
* Foster employer relationships and program growth
* Ensure compliance with:
* OSHA
* FMCSA
* DOT
* CDC
* NFPA 1582
* Other occupational health standards and regulations
Schedule & Call
* Monday–Friday
* Hours:
* 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
* Approximately:
* 15 Patients Per Day
* Adult patient population
* No nights
* No weekends
* No holidays
* No call responsibilities
Practice Support
