Clinical Responsibilities

  • Evaluation and management of work-related injuries and workers’ compensation cases

  • Functional assessments and return-to-work planning

  • Pre-placement and DOT physical examinations

  • Treatment of acute occupational illnesses and musculoskeletal injuries

  • Medical review of surveillance programs and immunization compliance

  • Collaboration with employers, HR departments, and case managers

  • Clear documentation supporting safe and timely return to work

This role blends clinical medicine with functional restoration and employer partnership—offering immediate, tangible impact on workforce health.

Qualifications

  • MD or DO, Board Certified/Board Eligible

  • Active Maine medical license (or eligibility)

  • Occupational Medicine experience preferred

  • Physicians trained in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Emergency Medicine encouraged to apply

  • Strong clinical judgment and comfort managing musculoskeletal injuries

  • Collaborative, communicative, and solutions-oriented approach
