Setting: Outpatient Occupational Medicine Center
Coverage Type: Locum Tenens
Role Overview:
-
100% direct patient care in an Occ Med clinic
-
Serve as Primary Treating Physician (PTP) for work-related injuries
-
Collaborate with therapists, specialists, and employers
-
Supervise PA/NPs and clinic staff
-
Ensure compliance with CA WC, DOT, OSHA, and state regulations
Clinical Scope:
-
Work-related injuries & case management
-
Employer communication on new injuries
-
DOT exams, OSHA programs, and clinical documentation
-
EMR-based documentation, coding, and charge capture
Requirements:
-
MD or DO with active CA license
-
Board Certified/Eligible (IM, FM, EM, PM&R, or Occ Med)
-
Occ Med experience required
-
NRCME (DOT Medical Examiner) Certified
-
DEA required
-
BLS required (ACLS preferred)
Experience:
-
5–8 years preferred (Occ Med, Urgent Care, or ER)
-
New grads with strong Occ Med interest encouraged
