We have a direct client in the occupational health industry looking for assistance. Ideally, the candidate will be able to start with providing two shifts weekly on a reoccurring basis with the possibility to increase the number of days as the volume and need increases.

Qualifications

Active MD or DOT license in the state of TX.
Active DEA
Clean background and malpractice preferred
ACLS and BLS certifications
BC/BE
Previous experience working in an occupational health setting strongly preferred

Working Hours

8am-8pm, Monday-Friday
Weekend Hours: Sat 8am-7pm and Sun 8am-5pm
Closed: Thanksgiving and Christmas Day

Skills

Occupational Medicine Expertise: A thorough understanding of occupational medicine principles, including workplace hazards, occupational diseases, injury prevention, and health promotion strategies.

Clinical Assessment and Diagnosis: Proficiency in conducting comprehensive medical evaluations, including pre-employment screenings, periodic health assessments, and assessments for work-related injuries and illnesses.

Injury and Illness Management: Ability to diagnose and manage a wide range of occupational injuries and illnesses, such as musculoskeletal disorders, chemical exposures, respiratory conditions, and psychological stressors.

Occupational Risk Assessment: Skill in evaluating workplace hazards and risks, conducting job site visits, and collaborating with employers to implement effective risk mitigation strategies and ergonomic interventions.

Disability Management: Experience in assessing work-related disabilities, providing appropriate accommodations, and facilitating return-to-work programs to support employees' recovery and rehabilitation.

Regulatory Compliance: Knowledge of occupational health and safety regulations, including OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) standards, workers' compensation laws, and ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act) requirements.

Communication and Collaboration: Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively interact with employees, employers, safety professionals, and other healthcare providers. The ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to promote workplace wellness and safety.

Health Promotion and Education: Experience in developing and delivering health promotion programs, educational materials, and training sessions on topics such as injury prevention, ergonomics, wellness initiatives, and occupational health best practices.

Research and Data Analysis: Ability to conduct research studies, collect and analyze occupational health data, and utilize evidence-based practices to inform decision-making and improve outcomes in the workplace.

Cultural Competence: Sensitivity to cultural and socioeconomic factors that may impact occupational health outcomes, as well as the ability to provide culturally competent care to a diverse workforce.
