Locum Tenens Opportunity – Obstetrics & Gynecology Physician
Location: Plano, TX

Position Overview
A well-established women’s health practice in Plano, Texas is seeking a Board-Certified Obstetrics & Gynecology Physician for a locum tenens outpatient clinic assignment. This position is to provide coverage for a vacant provider role and offers a consistent outpatient schedule with strong clinical support.

Assignment Details

• Specialty: Obstetrics & Gynecology

• Practice Setting: Outpatient clinic

• EMR System: Epic

• Reason for Coverage: Vacant physician position

• Start Date: As soon as possible

• Assignment Length: 1 month initially, with potential extension after evaluation

Schedule

• Clinic Days: 2 days per week

• Shift Hours: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

• Call: None required

Patient Volume & Scope

• Approximately 20 patient encounters per clinic day

• Outpatient OB/GYN care, including routine gynecologic visits, prenatal care, and women’s health evaluations

• No inpatient responsibilities or deliveries required for this assignment

Support Staff

• Medical Assistants (MA)

• Nurse triage support

Credentialing Requirements

• Board Certified in Obstetrics & Gynecology

• Active Texas medical license preferred

• Candidates willing to obtain Texas licensure may be considered (standard process or IMLC if eligible)

• Must meet facility vaccination requirements per system policy

Ideal Candidate
The ideal physician will be comfortable managing a full scope of outpatient OB/GYN care, including prenatal visits and general gynecologic care, while maintaining efficient patient flow in a clinic setting. Candidates should be experienced with Epic EMR, collaborative with clinic staff, and able to quickly integrate into an established practice environment.
