Join our team as a Locum Tenens Obstetrics Physician, providing vital call coverage and surgical support. This role is situated in a well-equipped hospital setting, offering varied shifts, including 24-hour call coverage with specific dates available from June through August. This position doesn't require you to be onsite continually, allowing flexibility while ensuring high-quality care.

Key Details - Assignment Type: Locum Tenens - Setting: Both Inpatient and Outpatient - Start Date: June 18, 2026 - Schedule: 24-hour Call Coverage, 7 AM – 7 AM - Patient Population: All Ages - Location: Johnstown, PA - Stipends: Housing and travel arrangements can be discussed for non-local candidates

Job Responsibilities - Provide obstetrics call support, including surgical procedures such as circumcisions, tubal ligations, and C-section deliveries - Respond to call backs for patient consultations, and support emergency deliveries as needed - Collaborate with a dedicated midwifery and medical team to ensure comprehensive care

Qualifications - Board Certified or Board Eligible in Obstetrics and Gynecology required - Must hold certifications in ABLS, ACLS, ATLS, BLS, and PALS - Preferred experience in high-risk pregnancies, thorough FHR interpretation, and complex deliveries including VBAC and cesareans

Working Hours - Varied shifts with 24-hour call availability - Average onsite time for call backs typically does not exceed six hours

Skills - Proficiency in performing low and high-risk obstetric procedures - Skilled in the interpretation of obstetric ultrasonography - Experience with both routine and complicated deliveries, including operative vaginal deliveries and repair of significant lacerations - Competency in office and surgical gynecology procedures, including but not limited to IUD placement, cystoscopy, and laparoscopic surgery
