Position Overview
One of our Partners in New Jersey is seeking an experienced OB/GYN physician to provide 100% in-house laborist and hospitalist coverage on a locum tenens basis. Coverage consists of 3–4 in-house shifts per month, scheduled 1–2 months in advance, with a mix of weekday and weekend shifts.
Pay ranking: This assignment offers Top 10% pay ranking compared to current OB/GYN laborist locum tenens roles, based on 2025 market data and provider pay.
This is a strictly in-house role—providers must remain onsite for the full duration of the shift, even during periods of low census.

Level II nursery; facility delivers all patients >32 weeks gestation

In-house anesthesia coverage 24/7

Solo attending coverage with OB/GYN resident support

Job Responsibilities

Provide in-house OB/GYN laborist coverage

Manage labor and delivery patients and perform deliveries

Provide OB/GYN floor coverage and respond to ED consults

Perform gynecologic emergency procedures as needed

Participate in shift sign-out and nursing huddles
-
Supervise and collaborate with OB/GYN residents
-
Coordinate care with nursing, anesthesia, and hospital staff
