Position Overview
One of our Partners, is seeking a Board-Certified OBGYN to provide hospital call coverage for an established women’s care practice in coastal northeastern North Carolina. This assignment offers flexible, high-paying short-term coverage in a low-volume, well-supported community hospital environment. The provider will orient prior to their first shift.
Pay Ranking: Top 10% (2025 national market data for OBGYN call coverage)
Assignment Highlights

Coverage Dates: Jan 8–9, Jan 12–13, Jan 15–16 (8a–8a each day)

Schedule: Three 24-hour call shifts (72 hours total)

Setting: 100% inpatient coverage at a 25-bed community hospital

Average Monthly Deliveries: 28–34

Response Time: Provider must be able to arrive onsite within 20 minutes while on call

EMR: Epic

Support: No ICU responsibilities or code responses; Air and Ground support for patient transfer

Team: Established Women’s Care practice supported by experienced nursing and L&D staff

Joint Commission–certified agency assignment through HPA Healthcare
Skills & Experience
-
Board Certification in Obstetrics & Gynecology (MD/DO)
-
Current North Carolina medical license or ability to obtain locum privileges

Competency in vaginal and cesarean deliveries
-
Active DEA and BLS/ACLS certifications

Familiarity with Epic EMR preferred
If assignment extends beyond 6 months, the following are also required:

ALSO (Advanced Life Support in Obstetrics) Certification

AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring course completion (within 2 years)

NRP Certification
