- Job Title: Obstetrician
- Job Type: Locum Tenens
- Location: Boston, MA
- Service Setting: Inpatient
- Coverage Type: Clinical + Call
- Coverage Period: 6 months to 1 year
- Clinical Shift Schedule: Combination of days, nights, and weekends; approximately six shifts per month
- On-Call Shift Schedule: 12- or 24-hour shifts as scheduled
- Call Type: In-House
- Call Ratio: As scheduled by facility
- Call Response Time: Immediate for inpatient coverage COVERAGE DATES
- Assignment start: ASAP or upon credentialing completion
- Estimated duration: 6 months 1 year

JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Licenses: Massachusetts Medical License (preferred, not required)
- Board: BC/BE in Obstetrics and Gynecology
- DEA: Active DEA Certification
- Certifications: BLS, ACLS (preferred)
- Experience: Recent inpatient obstetrics experience required
- Other Qualifications: Commitment to health equity and quality improvement; fluency in Spanish or other languages preferred
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage labor and delivery patients, including monitoring and delivery assistance
- Respond to obstetric emergencies promptly
- Perform vaginal and cesarean deliveries as required
- Provide postpartum inpatient care
- Collaborate with midwives and family medicine teams for consults and coordinated care
- Maintain thorough and accurate medical documentation
- Mentor and educate residents, fellows, and medical students
- Promote shared decision-making and patient education
- Participate in ongoing professional development and continuing education ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
