๐ Shift Schedule: 12 or 24-hour shifts, Monday to Friday (In-house call with designated call room)
๐ฅ Facility: 18-bed Labor & Delivery unit with OR and onsite lab/ultrasound

๐ About the Role
Join a dedicated OB/GYN team covering Labor & Delivery and ER room duties in a busy hospital setting. You will care for 3โ4 laboring patients daily, including low- and high-risk pregnancies, perform deliveries (vaginal, forceps, C-section), and manage complicated cases like breech births and VBACs. Surgical and gynecologic procedures are part of the practice scope.
๐ฉบ Clinical Responsibilities

Manage low-risk and high-risk pregnancies (e.g., twins, toxemia, diabetes, cardiac/lung/renal conditions)

Interpret fetal heart monitoring (NST, CST, FSE)

Perform OB ultrasounds (Level I and II) and amniocentesis

Routine and complicated deliveries, including VBACs

Repair of 3rd and 4th-degree lacerations

Gynecologic procedures: minor office procedures, laparoscopic tubal ligations, ectopic pregnancy surgeries, and more

18 laboring beds + OR

Nursery Level II

Support: RNs and residents; CNMs provide some afternoon coverage

6 physicians in practice; no OB/GYN backup during locum coverage โ residents available, plus generalist backup
โ Qualifications

Board Certified/Eligible OB/GYN โ Required

BLS Certification โ Required
-
Michigan state license preferred (willing to assist with licensure process)

Experience with high-risk obstetrics and surgical procedures
