Saint Alphonsus Medical Group (SAMG) is a physician led 500+ provider multispecialty group seeking an OB Hospitalist committed to a multi-disciplinary team-based approach to care. Must be committed to providing high-quality care in a compassionate manner healing the body, mind and spirit. The St. Alphonsus OB Hospitalist program (4.5 FTE, 6 providers) has been in place since in 2009, the first of its kind in Idaho.

Our hospital is a regional referral center with a level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit and the region's only ACS verified Level II Trauma Center. Additionally, the OB hospitalists have the privilege of caring for women who receive care at the Center for Global Health & Healing which was created to meet the needs of women resettled within the community through the U.S. Office of Refugee Resettlement program.

Maternal-Fetal Medicine specialists provide complete obstetric care and are dedicated to supporting your patients and their families through a complicated pregnancy, while providing state-of-the-art, high-quality perinatal care. They work in consultation with the primary obstetrician, as well obstetric hospitalists and neonatologists (as needed) to ensure the best care possible. Saint Alphonsus Maternal-Fetal Medicine has received special recognition and accreditation by the American Institute of Ultrasound in Medicine (AIUM), which demonstrates their clinical excellence and commitment to high-quality diagnostic ultrasound services. Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) provides the highest level of care possible for infants. The NICU, which provides 24-hour, full-service specialty care, allows families from Boise and the surrounding areas in Idaho and eastern Oregon to receive expert treatment close to home. The NICU's team approach provides an atmosphere for parents and our expert staff to work together to achieve outcomes that exceed national benchmarks. Through special programs developed by the neonatologists and NICU staff, the Saint Alphonsus NICU length-of-stay and complication rates are significantly lower than the national average. Schedule: 162 twelve-hour shifts per year which may include double shifts (twenty-four-hour shifts) if desired or dictated by scheduling needs.
