Walker Baptist Medical Center is a 267-bed, acute care facility with over 600 employees and offers a comprehensive range of clinical services including orthopedics, general surgery, obstetrics/gynecology, emergency services, and specialized medical and surgical services. Walker Baptist Medical Center received a Five Star rating for spinal surgery, total knee replacement, as well as COPD treatment.

Jasper is home to Lewis Smith Lake, a large, recreational lake that’s perfect for fishing, swimming, and boating. The city also offers golf courses, parks, museums, and local dining. Those choosing to commute from Birmingham to Jasper will find a short 35 minute drive each direction. Birmingham is the largest city in Alabama with a population of 1.1 million people in the greater metropolitan area and it offers easy access to Alabama’s Gulf Coast and other major metropolitan cities like Nashville and Atlanta.
