Join a busy Iowa facility as a locum tenens OB/GYN, delivering obstetric and gynecologic care to support ongoing patient needs. This role involves providing hands-on clinical care, participating in labor and delivery coverage, and collaborating with the multidisciplinary team to ensure safe, patient-centered services.
Key responsibilities:
- Deliver comprehensive prenatal, intrapartum, postpartum, and gynecologic care.
- Evaluate, diagnose, and manage a broad range of OB/GYN conditions.
- Perform procedures and surgeries within granted privileges and scope of practice.
- Provide labor and delivery coverage as scheduled by the facility.
- Maintain timely, accurate patient documentation and follow facility policies.
- Communicate and coordinate care with nursing staff, advanced practice providers, and other team members to optimize patient outcomes.
Qualifications:
- MD or DO degree.
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Obstetrics & Gynecology, per facility requirements.
- Active Iowa medical license or eligibility for licensure; IMLC accepted if applicable.
- Current DEA registration (as required).
- Required certifications and credentials for the scope of practice and facility privileges.
