Position Details:
Patient Population: Obstetric and gynecologic patients
Setting: Inpatient, Level III Trauma and NICU
Responsibilities: Manage labor and delivery, admit antepartum patients, evaluate gyn ED consults, perform emergent gyn surgeries, round daily, and provide primary call coverage
Required Procedures: Routine and complicated vaginal deliveries, C-sections, breech and multiple births, VBACs, 3rd and 4th degree laceration repairs, gynecologic surgery, ectopic pregnancy surgery, oophorectomy, cystectomy, extensive LOA, suction D&C, management of cesarean complications including hysterectomy, FHR interpretation
EMR System: Epic
Support Staff: Labor and Delivery RNs, Obstetric Emergency Department, in-house anesthesia
Days Per Month: 3 weeks of coverage and 3 weekends
On-Call/Weekends: Primary night call Monday-Thursday 5p-7a; weekend call Friday 5p-Monday 7a; 24-hour weekend call
Submission Requirements:
- Board Certified in OB/GYN - Required
- Active CO License or Active IMLC with LOQ in hand - Required
- ACLS, BLS, NRP - Highly Preferred
- OB/GYN Residency; DEA; clean malpractice/background; required procedures experience - Required
