Locums OBGYN Physician

We are seeking a Locums OB/GYN Physician to provide comprehensive obstetric and gynecologic coverage in Berlin, New Hampshire. Responsibilities include outpatient clinic visits, emergency department consultations, inpatient care, labor management, and surgical services.

Assignment Dates: November 9, 2026, at 6:00 PM through November 16, 2026, at 6:00 PM

Responsibilities

• Provide on-call coverage for outpatient, ED consultation, and OB/GYN inpatient needs.
• Provide prenatal and gynecologic care at the hospital-based OB/GYN clinic and community prenatal clinic.
• Manage labor and provide inpatient rounds.
• Perform surgeries as the primary surgeon or assistant.
• Provide C-section coverage as needed.
• Complete documentation using the required electronic medical records and CPOE systems.

Clinic Schedule

Community Prenatal Clinic (FQHC)

• Tuesdays, 2:00 PM–5:00 PM
• Fridays, 9:00 AM–12:00 PM
• 100% prenatal care
• Coverage up to twice weekly

OB/GYN Clinic

• Typically 1–2 sessions per week, occasionally 3
• Usually Mondays and Wednesdays
• Starts at 9:00 AM; sessions typically last 1–3 hours, depending on patient need
• Approximately 90% prenatal and 10% gynecology
• Typically 12 patients per session, or about 4 patients per hour

Additional Details

• Average of approximately 80 deliveries annually.
• Occasional scheduled C-section, usually at 8:00 AM. Ideally scheduled on a non-clinic morning or with clinic starting later.
• Providers new to the facility must arrive one business day before their assignment for orientation to the hospital, practice, EMR, and CPOE.
• No night call is required during the orientation day.
• Use of both EMR systems and CPOE is required.
• Dragon voice recognition is required; dictation is not available.

Requirements

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Obstetrics and Gynecology
• Active New Hampshire medical license
• Current DEA registration
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications
