Locums – Northern New Hampshire – OB/GYN Job

• Seeking one provider for November 9, 2026, at 6:00 p.m. through November 16, 2026, at 6:00 p.m.

• 24/7 call coverage during the assignment, unless otherwise noted

• Locum license available

• Paid orientation required one business day before the assignment for providers new to the site

• Orientation covers the hospital, practice, and EMR/CPOE systems

• No night call during orientation day

Scope of Work:

• OB/GYN call coverage, including outpatient concerns, ED consultations, and inpatient care

• OB/GYN office and prenatal clinic coverage

• Surgery as the primary surgeon or assistant

• Labor management

• Inpatient rounds

Clinic & Schedule Details:

• Typical volume: 12 patients per session or four patients per hour

• Hospital-affiliated OB/GYN clinic:

  • Typically 1–2 sessions per week, occasionally three

  • Usually Mondays and Wednesdays

  • Sessions start at 9:00 a.m. and last 1–3 hours, depending on need

  • Approximately 90% prenatal care and 10% gynecology

• Prenatal clinic at an FQHC in Berlin:

  • Coverage up to twice weekly

  • Tuesday: 2:00–5:00 p.m.

  • Friday: 9:00 a.m.–noon

  • 100% prenatal care

Additional Clinical Details:

• Approximately 80 deliveries annually

• Occasional scheduled C-sections during the coverage week, typically at 8:00 a.m.

• Scheduled C-sections are ideally coordinated around morning clinic, or clinic begins later

• Required use of both sites’ EMR systems and CPOE

• Dragon voice recognition required; traditional dictation is not available

Requirements:

• Board certified or truly board eligible OB/GYN

• Must meet facility OB/GYN clinical privilege eligibility requirements

• Current neonatal resuscitation certification required

• Clean professional history required

• Must thoroughly and accurately complete the medical staff application within two weeks of accepting the assignment

• Prior completion of agency credentialing preferred

• At least two prior locum assignments with satisfactory feedback preferred

• New Hampshire locum or permanent license strongly preferred; temporary license not accepted

• Preference for providers who can cover the full assignment and additional coverage weeks, if needed

• Providers with limited travel requirements receive priority
