OB/GYN Locum Physician Opportunity in Pomona, NJ

An exciting OB/GYN locum opportunity is available at a reputable hospital in Pomona, New Jersey. The facility is seeking a skilled physician to provide inpatient labor and delivery coverage while they recruit a permanent physician. The hospital offers a supportive environment for those experienced in hospital-based obstetrical care, labor floor management, and gynecologic emergency coverage.

Job Responsibilities:

• Provide ongoing coverage for inpatient labor and delivery until a permanent provider is hired.
• Manage approximately 36 hours per week, with a schedule that includes a mix of day and night shifts.
• Conduct shifts from 7:00 A.M. – 7:00 P.M. and 7:00 P.M. – 7:00 A.M. from Monday to Friday.
• Oversee labor floor management and respond to gynecological emergencies.
• Perform and manage patient inductions and cesarean sections.
• Document patient care accurately using EMR systems (Cerner / Oracle).

Qualifications:

• Board Certified OB/GYN - REQUIRED
• Experience in managing labor and delivery patients.
• Proficiency in inpatient gynecological consultations.
• Effective in labor floor management and handling gynecological emergencies.
• Current New Jersey medical license (or willingness to obtain) - REQUIRED

License and Certification Requirements:

• Current BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications.
• NPDB within 30 days - REQUIRED AT OFFER
• Providers with minimal malpractice settlements will undergo a CASE-BY-CASE REVIEW.
