Locums | OB/GYN | Cape Girardeau, MO (MO or IMLC) Why This Role

  • Clinic + 24-hour call
  • Midwife backup support
  • Strong L&D and anesthesia support
Assignment Details Start/end: ASAP - July 1, 2027 Schedule: Approximately 20 days/month Coverage type: Clinic + 24-hour call Call ratio: 1:3 Call response: 15 minutes Setting: Inpatient + outpatient Volume: 0-8 patients/shift Deliveries: Approximately 600 annually Department: 18 beds Support: 2 APPs + 3 midwives as scheduled Additional support: 24/7 CRNA and RT, surgical first assist, L&D/NICU nursing + OB tech EMR: Epic Credentialing: Approximately 90 days Clinical Details Low- and high-risk pregnancy management Fetal heart rate interpretation Routine vaginal deliveries C-section decision-making and operative delivery Complicated deliveries including multiple births and abruptions Surgical gynecology required Major operative GYN cases including ectopic pregnancy, oophorectomy, cystectomy, and extensive lysis of adhesions VBAC and OB ultrasound experience preferred OB/GYN emergency consult coverage Requirements Board certified required License: MO or IMLC ACLS ATLS BLS Compensation Rate negotiable, open to your number Malpractice provided Travel and lodging reimbursed
