### Locums | OB/GYN Hospitalist | Cape Girardeau, MO (MO license or IMLC accepted) ### Why This Role

  • Ongoing coverage through July 2027
  • Approximately 20 days of clinic and call coverage per month
  • Established hospital averaging 600 deliveries annually
  • Midwife backup and 24/7 clinical support
  • Multiple providers considered ###
Assignment Details Start date: As soon as credentialed Duration: Ongoing through July 1, 2027 Schedule: Approximately 20 days per month Coverage: Clinical hours plus 24-hour call Call type: Beeper Call ratio: 1:3 Call response time: 15 minutes Setting: Inpatient and outpatient Patient volume: Approximately 0–8 patients per shift Assigned-patient rounding and admissions required EMR: Epic Credentialing: Approximately 90 days Temporary privileges: Not available Providers needed: 1 ### Requirements Board-certified OB/GYN Active Missouri medical license or IMLC eligibility Current BLS, ACLS, and ATLS certifications Comfortable providing primarily solo OB/GYN coverage Proficient in routine and complicated deliveries Proficient in major operative gynecology ### Clinical Details Approximately 600 annual deliveries No dedicated laborist program Required experience: - Low- and high-risk pregnancy management - Fetal heart-rate interpretation - Vaginal deliveries - Cesarean-section decision-making and performance - Multiple births and placental abruptions - Major gynecologic surgery Preferred experience: - VBAC management - OB ultrasound - Repair of third- and fourth-degree lacerations - Open and laparoscopic gynecologic surgery Support includes: - 24/7 CRNA and respiratory therapy - Surgical first assistant - Minimum of two Labor and Delivery RNs - Two NICU RNs - One OB technician - Three midwives providing backup as scheduled
