Our client, a respected community health organization committed to delivering equitable and high-quality healthcare services, is hiring a Chief Medical Officer (OBGYN). The Chief Medical Officer will serve as the senior physician executive, providing strategic, clinical, and administrative leadership to advance the organization’s mission. The role involves directing clinical quality improvement, fostering a culture of excellence, and ensuring the delivery of patient-centered care across multiple sites. The CMO will collaborate closely with executive leadership, external stakeholders, and community partners to promote innovative care models, address health disparities, and support population health initiatives.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide executive leadership for clinical quality, safety, and continuous improvement
  • Develop and communicate a strategic clinical vision aligned with organizational goals
  • Oversee medical staff recruitment, credentialing, and performance evaluation
  • Promote evidence-based practices and standardized care protocols
  • Partner with operations to optimize patient access, flow, and clinical efficiency
  • Ensure compliance with HRSA, CMS, NYSDOH, and other regulatory standards
  • Lead efforts in quality monitoring, risk management, and clinical audit readiness
  • Represent the organization in community outreach, partnerships, and external health initiatives
  • Maintain an appropriate balance of clinical practice to stay engaged with patient care

Requirements:

  • Minimum of a Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree; Board certification in OBGYN
  • Minimum of 5 years of leadership experience in a clinical or administrative role in a healthcare organization, preferably within an FQHC or similar setting
  • Proven track record in clinical quality improvement, regulatory compliance, and team management
  • Strong knowledge of population health, value-based care, and health disparities
  • Excellent communication, strategic planning, and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Ability to develop and lead diverse teams, foster collaboration, and promote professionalism
  • Willingness to work in Queens or Far Rockaway locations, with flexibility to support multiple sites
  • Additional experience with telehealth, community health initiatives, or academic affiliations is a plus
