Obstetrics/Gynecology Physician – Minneapolis, MN | High-Risk OB Hospitalist Role

- Shift: 24-hour in-house call (7a–7a), flexible 12-hour shifts available
- Hours/Week: 36–40 hours (depending on shift choice)
- Employment Type: Locum Tenens / Ongoing
- Certifications Needed: BLS, Board Certified Ob/Gyn, Minnesota License (or IMLC if out-of-state)
- Experience: High-risk OB experience preferred; trauma I or II experience highly valued
Pay & Benefits:
- Hourly Pay Rate: $5,779.80
- Weekly pay via direct deposit

What You’ll Do:
- Provide obstetric care for high-risk pregnant patients, including labor and delivery management
- Co-manage complex OB cases with Maternal-Fetal Medicine (MFM) specialists and ICU teams
- Assist with obstetric procedures such as C-sections and urgent interventions
- Support maternity and postpartum patients, including those requiring ECMO-level care
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure high-quality patient care
- Cover high-acuity obstetric units and participate in 24/7 call coverage
- Support both OB hospitalist duties and urgent OB care needs on the unit
What You Need:
- Valid Minnesota Medical License or IMLC (required if no MN license)
- Board Certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology
- BLS certification
- Trauma I or II experience highly preferred
- Ability to handle high-risk pregnancies and complex obstetric cases
About the Assignment:
This position involves providing comprehensive obstetrical care in a high-volume, Level II nursery setting, primarily covering high-risk obstetric cases alongside a full support team including Maternal-Fetal Medicine specialists. The hospital delivers 11-12 babies daily, with a focus on high-acuity pregnancies and urgent obstetric needs. The facility offers the latest technology, electronic health records via Epic, and seamless collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.
