Locum - OB/GYN: Obstetrics and Gynecology - MD/DO

Job Opportunity: Locum OB/GYN Physician in Mt. Pleasant, MI

We are seeking an experienced, board-certified OB/GYN physician to join a well-established team at a leading healthcare facility in Mt. Pleasant, Michigan. This locum position will offer the opportunity to provide comprehensive care in a supportive environment, ensuring a balanced workload with the collaboration of a dedicated team.

Job Responsibilities:

• Provide OB call coverage every 5th week of the month.
• Deliver 24/7 hospital coverage, including 2 hours of gratis patient care.
• Manage various medical and surgical services, including:
  • Labor & Delivery
  • Emergency Department coverage
  • Surgical procedures
  • Urgent surgical needs
  • Clinic consults for emergent cases
• Handle approximately 4 deliveries per day.
• Collaborate with support staff, including 2 Nurse Practitioners.
• Utilize Cerner EHR system for patient documentation.

Qualifications:

• Board-certified in OB/GYN.
• Active Michigan medical license.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience in OB/GYN practice.
• Strong clinical skills in low-risk pregnancies, vaginal deliveries, C-sections, repair of lacerations, VBAC, and OB ultrasound.

License and Certification Requirements:

• Must maintain an active Michigan medical license (no exceptions).
• Board certification in OB/GYN is required.
