Details/Requirements:
--Credentialing takes approximately 60 days
--High-Risk OB Laborist needed for 24-hour in-house coverage
--Ongoing coverage needed for the next year
--Board Certified or Board Eligible in Obstetrics and Gynecology required
--Physicians must be comfortable managing complex, high-acuity obstetric patients
--Physicians will supervise second- and third-year residents and work alongside a nurse midwife covering routine labor patients

Opportunity Details:
--Strictly High-Risk Obstetric service at one of only two Level IV perinatal centers in Indiana
--Patients are referred from throughout the state, with the majority of the patient population being antepartum
--Approximately 3,000 annual deliveries across the facility
--High-Risk OB service typically averages 2–4 deliveries and approximately 2–4 transfers per 24-hour shift
--Manage a high-acuity patient population including preterm labor, severe preeclampsia, PROM, poorly controlled Type 1 diabetes, complex cardiac disorders, ICU --patients, and other complex chronic medical conditions
--Maternal-Fetal Medicine (MFM) physician is in-house during the day to establish plans of care and participate in daily team rounds, with phone availability after hours
--Work closely with an integrated nursing team, residents, nurse midwives, MFM physicians, and multiple OB groups
--Responsible for responding to OB trauma calls
--This is strictly a High-Risk Obstetric service; there are no GYN responsibilities or emergency GYN surgical coverage
--Ideal candidates will be comfortable working independently in a fast-paced, high-volume, high-acuity obstetric environment
